Turn It Off
This song was recorded with my usual Friday Night Speakeasy version of The FatBand in Edmonton (It was "bring yer own booze" until the cops shut us down).
The next year, when I went to Vancouver to record my LP I'mTalkin' To You, produced by Claire Lawrence, I used the studio musicians at Pinewood Studios.

Edmonton Film Makers Allan Stein & Mairi Maclean, who were also Ross's musical partners in his early swing band Fat Chants, wrote & produced a dynamic music video of Turn It Off, which can be seen in the Video Gallery on this website, under the title Turn It Off Again.
In it, they portrayed Ross in three different personas:
1) Computer Ross, who discovers he can use his digital tools to create a fantasy world and simulate rockstar status,
2) Cave Man Ross, his alter-ego, and
3) 4-yr-old Ross, played by his son Riel.
This song was produced by Ross & Claire Lawrence at Pinewood Studios in Vancouver, with Dave Pickell on the Prophet Five Analogue Synthesizer, Norman McPherson on Guitar, Brian "Nuke" Newcomb on fretless bass & Kat Hendrikse on drums.
If you REALLY like this song, please send Ross a couple of bucks to help fund his next album of Original Music, where your name will be included in the Credits, and you will become a Member of his
TOP FAN CLUB!
Thanks a lot!
